Поява віртуальних активів (криптовалют) потребує детального аналізу причин та мотивів, що породили це явище. Соціальні, правові та технологічні виклики зумовлюють вирішення завдання щодо розвитку суверенної грошової одиниці. Метою дослідження є аналіз економічних, соціальних, філософських причин появи віртуальних активів.
Ключові слова: біткоїн, криптовалюта, віртуальний актив, криптоанархізм, блокчейн, австрійська економічна школа.
