APPOINTMENT OF ART EXPERTISE IN THE INVESTIGATION OF UNLAWFUL ATTACKS ON WORKS OF ART

This article deals with the commissioning of art expert examination during the investigation of unlawful attempts on works of pictural art. The theoretical and methodological foundations of art expert examination are determined. The forensic recommendations on the commission of these expert examinations are given. It is stated that the subject of art expertise is the evidence relevant to criminal proceedings and related to the definition of cultural property and the value of a work of art, its contents and the ideological direction of the established norms of public morality.
