SELF-UPBRINGING OF A JUDGE IS AN IMPORTANT CONDITION AND DRIVING FORCE FOR IMPROVING THE PERSONALITY OF A JUDGE IN ACCORDANCE WITH INTERNATIONAL STANDARDS

 

The active position of a judge in relation to his personality, his professional activity is an important mobilizing factor and charge for constant self-development and self-improvement. We often hear that the judge should make every effort to ensure that, in the opinion of a prudent, law-abiding and informed person, his authority is impeccable, behavior is worthy, and that the overall image is worthy for example and copied by younger generations of lawyers, and whether the judge cope with these challenges remains just guess.

Preserving and strengthening your sense of dignity for a modern Ukrainian judge, self-education of a worthy personality is a special new task. Despite a significant level of public distrust in the judiciary, constant discussions on the pages of newspapers or in the Internet, the judge should remind himself of the authority of his office, which he must affirm and do everything possible to demonstrate to society the integrity and dedication of the case. Abstinence from acts of provocation by various individuals, restraint in appearance or refusal to visit a restaurant with an openly “odious” reputation is the daily work of a judge to develop his behavior and work on himself.

No person is born of a professional, but through persistent learning, daily work, constant self-education of his personality, you can become the most qualified specialist in your field.

The correct approach to the problem of self-education, organization and management of own process of self-education depends on the correct understanding of the essence of the phenomenon of self-education.

Therefore, the article is devoted to the study of the essence of the process of self-education through the definition of the structure of self-education. In addition, an analysis of objective conditions that could motivate a judge to take up self-improvement is conducted. The ways of step-by-step perfection of personality are shown.

In real life situations, the process of self-education may not be simple enough, but consistent actions and work on their own results. Therefore, the article pays due attention to the planning of the process of self-education, as well as reveals the peculiarity of self-control.

A systematic work on his personality for a long time should encourage a judge to more and more naturally influence the formation of his personality during almost any active work or rest. Intelligence, self-instruction and self-criticism are the criteria by which the process of self-education of each judge should take place.
